Disruption, Presencing, Photography
An exhibition by Jennifer Deathe
November 2026 | Morning Parade Coffee Bar
256 Crawford Street, Toronto
About the Exhibition
Created in Joví and Guachalito on Colombia's Chocó Pacific Coast, this photographic series emerged from an exploration of ethical storytelling through a decolonizing lens.
Using Theory U as a framework for transformation, photography became a tool for self inquiry. The photographs are presented as a journey rather than individual images, inviting viewers to consider photography as a practice for presencing, creativity and change.
The exhibition seeks to raise awareness of the people, communities and extraordinary biodiversity of the Chocó Pacific region, and the importance of protecting the relationships between them.
Explore Theory U
Theory U is a framework for personal and collective transformation developed by Otto Scharmer. It invites us to move beyond habitual ways of seeing and responding, opening space for deeper attention, reflection and new possibilities.
In this photographic journey, Theory U became a framework for self-inquiry, with the camera serving as a tool for observation, presencing and change.
