Deepening the Art of Teaching & Leading. AWSNA Conference June 23-26, Toronto, Canada:
Shifting Perspectives: Abundance in Waldorf School Fundraising.
This workshop invites anyone involved in or supporting fundraising to rethink its significance and elevate its role in Waldorf schools. Co-led by Jennifer Deathe, CFRE-certified Advancement Director of the Toronto Waldorf School Foundation, and Dorothy LeBaron, an adult educator with expertise in biographical and social art practices, this session blends reflective inquiry with actionable strategies to foster leadership and purpose in the economic realm.
Using Theory U as a framework, with roots in anthroposophy, participants will explore biases and mindsets around money on individual, school, and systemic levels. Through Presencing tools, participants will cultivate deeper awareness and develop levels of listening and conversation essential for fostering trust and authentic relationships—the foundation of successful fundraising.
Participants will leave understanding that transformative fundraising begins within. By cultivating deeper awareness, participants can lay the foundation for meaningful, sustainable fundraising practices that unlock potential and serve their school communities.
